MATCH REPORT: 03.09.06 - PLAISTOW

3-Sept : Plaistow 3 - 1 Newbury Forest

To be fair the less said about this game the better. After the great performance of the week before you would expect us to kick on and put another good shift in. In truth no one really looked like they wanted it. Everyone seemed to go through the motions. The strikers couldn’t hit the back side of a horse with a banjo, and the effort and determination that got us back into the game the week before seem to have left us. The only defence we have is that we played without a keeper and that all three of their goals would have probably been stopped by a decent keeper.

Now for the ratings

Dave “Mr TT” Zarcaro GK/AM
Tried his best in goal, and then worked hard once he came out on pitch.

Chris “Cut your Hair” Wallbank RB
Ran his socks off like he always does, but was fighting a losing battle.

Tom “Toot Toot” Stapleton CB
Worked hard, but the team weren’t playing well so found it hard at times.

Richard “Disco” Saunders CB/GK
Ran his heart out until he had to come off due to injury

Justin “I want a goal” Ceaser LB/GK
Not seeing much of the ball and then not getting help when the opposition has men over doesn’t help. However was the only one to keep a clean sheet in goal.

John “The Kaiser” Hassan DM
Try to plug holes on a sinking ship, never gonna happen

Dave “Del Boy” De Rijk AM
Game seemed to be played around him, which really meant he was fighting a losing battle.

Danny “Silent Assassin” Chester AM
Looked very lost today, wasn’t the best game I’ve seen him play

Alfie “Mpenza” Egembah CF
Just didn’t seem to click, got a goal but nothing to write home about.

Andy “Zola” Saunders WR
Didn’t have his shooting boots on today

Dave “Devastator” Ademakinwa WL
Used his energy well, but was certainly not wearing his shooting boots.

Subs
Frank “Spanish” Perez LB
Hard game for a player like him to get involved in.

Jey “Flake” Siva WL
Didn’t really look himself through the game once he came on.
