: Newbury Forest 1 - 2 Sarvic
Newbury Forest 1 v 2 Sarvic (Essex Trophy)
Well it’s a very unusually feeling to have right now losing, not something I’m accustomed too and not something I really want to experience again. But hey they were a premiership team and we did push them very close. We played some good football in stages and put them under a lot of pressure, so we should be proud of our performance.
I’d like to give the defence a big shout because I thought they did well in keeping their forwards quiet and not giving them many chances. We must remember that this was always going to be a hard cup to win, but we didn’t disgrace ourselves. As I said the week before it is a real pleasure playing with you guys at times. I know at times we pay great football, and if we look at how far we have come from the start of the season until now it don’t half get me excited for the remainder of the season and for next season as well.
