Celebrations!
Some are awful and some memorable, our very own Richard Grove has been leaving his mark on the pitch with his goals and more importantly his unpredictable celebrations.
As many of you know the A-team has had a fairly good pre-season with the ball hitting the back of the net on countless occasions similarly with the first match of the season but with the end result not quite there.
With the goals flying in Midfielder Grovsey managed to bag two goals in preseason and two on the opening fixture of the season.
The celebrations started in the friendly against AFC Lexus were Rich clearly influenced by Fifa 09 did the ‘two hands pumping in the air’ celebration.
Going into the next match vs Collier Row the Fifa celebration tradition carried on with the Samba being produced. With a pattern developing the A-team were constantly wondering what the next celebration was, well in the opening fixture of the season we found out.
With Richard scoring twice he produced the classic Robbie Keane roll with the infamous gun fingers at the end and with the second goal he showed off his dance moves with a bit of popping and locking! Who knows what the next celebration will be? The ‘Cantona pose’ or some ‘Nani acrobatics’ but I suggest a sweep stake might have to be set up for the next time these celebrations get unleashed!
