The New Season is Upon us.

The 2006/2007 season kicks off this Sunday with a match against a new team in our league Hoggs Head (Hornchurch).

So far we have had a good pre-season which climaxed last Sunday with a fantastic result against current SESFL Premier League champions Taverners. We have had a an influx of terrific new players this summer and I would like to officially welcome Jey Siva, Andrew Saunders, Richard Saunders aka Disco, Nick marrable, Danny Chester, Luke Mardle, Oz Misiri, Lewis O’Connor, Justin Caesar and last but not least David Ademakinwa.

You have all been fantastic since you have joined and I can honestly say that you guys, together with the rest of the squad are part of the best team I have yet had the pleasure of managing. When I say best, I mean in every sense. Not only football ability but also as a bunch of guys who I would be happy and comfortable socialising with as individuals or one whole group – I don’t think that is always the case within a football club and we should appreciate the lucky position we are all in.

So before you start getting too big for your boots I’ll wrap things up here, looking forward to our club dinner on Friday and starting what we all hope will be our most successful season to-date.
