Newbury Forest Take First Steps to Having Youth Teams

In conjunction with Redbridge Sports Centre, Newbury Forest have agreed to take on board the current array of young players training at the centre on a Saturday morning.

Where there is sufficient numbers in any one age group, Newbury Forest will establish a team at that age group and enter them into local leagues.

This is fantastic news for the club, not only for now but looking forwards to the future and building a club of significant size where players of all ages are welcome to join and develop. The aim is to have youth teams playing on a Sunday morning at the club home ground, London Playing Fields on Fairlop Road where their senior counterparts will also be plying their trade.

We are at the initial stages of attracting players and volunteers for each team and we appeal to anyone who may know of someone who would like to be involved in any capacity. Please feel free to contact John Hassan at the club if you or you know anyone who may be interested.
