Murph's Birthday at The Comedy Store - 22.01.06

Thanks to all those who came along to celebrate Murphs birthday as part of our ongoing NFFC social diary.

It turned out to be eventful occasion with the local travellers (no relation to Murph, honest!) turning up and parking their caravans within spitting (literally) distance of the stage! They were definately the hecklers to be reckoned with and were ejected half way through proceedings. A very eventful evening it turned out to be which included my long winded route attempting to get to the store becoming not strictly a route to remember and ended up taking almost as long as if I'd been towing a caravan of my own - Luckily for all in attentance, I managed to make up for it by arriving Starsky and Hutch style, with a perfect handbrake skid at the entrance, just in the nick of time!

This improv night was really worth the money with great comedy and even a few songs thrown in. The food and drink was flowing - although it was a lightweights convention with all in attendance coiffing copious amounts of fizzy pop. Shame on us but we can all make a better effort on the booze front at the next event - details to follow soon.
